My name it Alison Bradley; I’m a 25 year old college graduate of USM (University of Southern Maine). I moved to America from New Zealand 5 years ago to study and play soccer at a collegiate level, while over here I also was part of USM’s track and lacrosse team.

I have really found a passion for running and its benefits. I have been involved in a lot of different races, especially over this last year, from road races to the Maine marathon, to warrior dash/ruckus and reach the beach relay, all of which has continued to increase my love for the sport. I’m heading over to England in September to coach high school lacrosse, and before I leave I decided to do one last running challenge, but this time I not only want to do it for my only personal enjoyment, but to also raise money and inspire others.

While I haven’t been affected by breast cancer personally, I have been connected to it through friends and family who have been affected by it or who have had loved ones affected by it, and this is why I feel compelled to do something to bring us one step closer to finding a cure and eradicating this deadly disease. While I can’t do anything about the past, I am determined to try to make a difference in the future. I decided to raise money for the Avon Breast Cancer foundation, to support in their mission that is focused on breast cancer and domestic violence, as well as emergency and disaster relief, touching lives across the country and around the world.

I picked running a ridiculous amount of miles till I reach my final destination to hopefully give people inspiration, not only to not give up the fight, but also to realize that the human body can achieve many extreme feats as long as the mind stays strong. I am hoping you will be able to help me in this mission, the best gift to me is in the form of either a donation to my campaign. In the US, a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer every three minutes, and breast cancer effect one in eight women worldwide - which is why it touches us all.
